Virtual Charter Program to Reach More Students

The Indiana Department of Education has selected a second entity to operate as a virtual charter school during the 2010-2011 academic year. Rural Community Schools will run the program serving up to 280 students in grades one through eight. Hoosier Academies has been acting as pilot program this year and will educate up to 220 students when it expands to include sixth grade next year.
