Analysis Shows Winners and Losers
The Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute has released what it describes as a first-of-its-kind study to track the flow of Hoosier tax dollars on a county-by-county basis. The research, in conjunction with Ball State University's Center for Business and Economic Research, shows on a per capita basis residents of Vanderburgh County pay the most in state taxes relative to state expenditures, while Cass County receives the most expenditures relative to taxes paid.
