Lawmakers Not Planning Tax Increases

The 2010 session of the Indiana General Assembly begins tomorrow and lawmakers already say they aren't planning any major changes in the state's tax structure. House and Senate committees have already approved a constitutional amendment capping property taxes, moving the proposal to a final vote in each chamber. Senate Tax and Fiscal Policy Chairman Brandt Hershman (R-7) tells our partners at Network Indiana/WIBC that given the state's economic climate, tax increases are off the table.
