Weather Affecting Corn Harvest

12.09.09

Indiana's corn harvest remains unfinished, making it the longest season since 1972. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Indiana Field Office reports that 91 percent of the harvest was complete as of December 6. Officials say farmers should ideally be able to complete the harvest in two and half days, but weather is expected to stretch that out at least five more days.
