Telemarketing Company Shutting Down Lafayette Operations

Indianapolis-based Teleservices Direct has announced the closure of its Lafayette office. The Lafayette Journal & Courier reports 188 part-time and 16 full-time employees will lose their jobs. Company officials say the closing is the result of the slow economy and the loss of some contract business.
